Seed Tube Vegetables - Runner Bean Queen of Hearts
‘Queen of Hearts’ is a dwarf runner bean that produces wonderfully bushy, free-flowering plants that require no support and will not grow higher than 50cm making them perfect for patio containers or the front of the flower border. ‘Queen of Hearts’ sets masses of tender delicious pods which should be picked regularly to ensure continuous flowering and further pod development. They have been carefully bred under British conditions to ‘set’ very freely and easily to ensure big crops of quality tasty beans whatever the weather. Gorgeous red flowers.

Runner beans require support from canes or netting to a height of approx. 1.8m (6′). In hot weather, mist the flowers with tepid water in the evening to help pods form. Ideal for deep freezing. Provide poles or netting for plants to climb. Pick beans regularly to encourage further cropping.
